1. Failure Symptoms
A VPN server is considered unavailable if:
- clients cannot connect to the VPN;
- in the management panel the server stays offline or is unreachable via SSH;
- the VPS provider reported an outage or IP block.
After failure, old VPN configurations stop working until the server is restored or migrated to a new VPS.
2. No Automatic Migration
The system does not migrate clients automatically when a server goes down. The manager does not start migration — the VPN Vendor team performs it in the admin panel.
3. Your First Steps
- Record the problem start time and number of affected clients.
- Open a support ticket (Support section in the WHMCS billing client area).
- Provide manager email, WHMCS order/service number, and symptom description.
- Wait for support response — you will be notified when migration to a new VPS begins.
4. What VPN Vendor Does
- diagnoses VPS failure;
- prepares a new server;
- starts server migration in the admin panel;
- migrates all your clients preserving CLIENT IDs;
- sends you an email when migration completes.
5. What Not to Do
- do not reorder the same plan without coordinating with support;
- do not delete clients in the panel "just in case" — they will be restored during migration;
- do not tell clients that "keys are permanently lost" — CLIENT IDs are preserved.
